A festival of dance will see Morris enthusiasts from across the north of England join together to perform beside the lake in Keswick.

Organised by local dance side, Belfagan Morris, the Day of Dance takes place on Saturday.

Each of the dance sides will showcase examples of the various styles of Morris and traditional dance from around Britain. Dancing will start at 10.30am at selected points around Keswick and on the shores of Derwentwater.

Locations will include Pack Horse Yard, the underpass to the lake, the Rotary Wishing Well and Lakeside.

There will also be a showcase – a continuous show of dance styles led by Belfagan – from noon by the Hope Park cafe. Donations will be collected for their chosen charity, Riding for the Disabled Association.
