A date for crucial flood defence work in Cockermouth town centre should be available next month.
An outflow pipe in High Sand Lane is an integral part of the £1.7 million improvement scheme, started in 2014, because it takes flood water from the Main Street and into the River Derwent.
Earlier this year cameras were placed on the walls alongside High Sand Lane to monitor any building movements prior to work being carried out on the road below.
A council spokesman said: "I can confirm that the cameras have been removed because the period of monitoring has now been completed. The analysis of the data from that monitoring survey is now underway, which will determine the extent and timescale for the work required thereafter.
"A decision is expected in the next four weeks."
