Police probe after man attacked by dog near Cumbrian railway line

A police investigation has been launched after a man was attacked by a dog.

The incident involved three greyhounds and another dog, although it is unclear which of the animals attacked the man.

He suffered bite wounds and one of the dogs was also injured.

It happened on the footpath next to the railway line, near Derwent Road and Solway Road, Workington about 8am yesterday.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
