Rescuers were called to Maryport harbour this morning after ex-hurricane Ophelia battered the coast.
An 100ft ex-trawler snapped its moorings and was swinging on its bowlines.
Maryport Inshore Rescue, Workington RNLI and Maryport and Whitehaven Coastguard attended.
The owner was safely removed from the vessel and taken to the Waverley Hotel.
The lifeboat, under command of coxswain John Stobbart, managed to get the vessel back along side the harbour wall where a team of shore helpers managed to tie it back along side the wall.
