A Cockermouth stamp club will be holding its first auction later this month.
More than 450 lots will be going under the hammer at the Friend's Meeting House, Kirkgate, on Thursday, August 23.
Mike Roberts, who set up the club with Mike Mapleton nearly three years ago, said: "We have assembled over 450 lots, with estimates from 50p to £150, with a large variety of British and foreign single stamps and collections."
The most valuable stamp is a Great Britain Edward VII £1 stamp which was issued in 1902.
The club held its first exhibition in April to celebrate National Stamp Day.
"Some people brought stamps into being valued and were asking about selling them," said Mike, who will be the auctioneer.
"This is the perfect opportunity for people to dispose of things they are no longer interested in and others to add to their collection. Everyone is welcome."
The club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 11am in the Friends Meeting House, Kirkgate.
Viewing will take place from 10.30am, the auction starts at 11.30am.
