Trees removed in Cockermouth’s Memorial Gardens while flood repair work was carried out should be replaced, agreed town councillors.
Gordon and Linda Dalzell, of Derwentside Gardens, wrote to the town council to say that their privacy had been affected as a result of the trees being removed. They asked for them to be replaced.
The trees were removed to allow access to vehicles used in the repair work. Councillors agreed they should be replanted.
