Thousands of people have enjoyed the latest video filmed by Cockermouth School staff for its pupils.

Staff lip synch and dance to Justin Bieber's hit Can't Stop the Feeling in the video for the year 11s.

Cockermouth School Does Can't Stop the Feeling was first shown to the year 11s at their leaving assembly.

A school spokesman said: "They simply loved it. As soon as it was uploaded on YouTube and the link added to the school Facebook page it just went crazy. It has reached nearly 18,000 people on Facebook alone."

Videos for leavers have become a popular school project over the years.

The spokesman said: "The first one was produced six years ago and was the idea of Matthew Woodcock who was the head of year 11 at that time."

Last year, teachers created a video for Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and in previous years, have doneMark Ronson's Uptown Funk and have also done Glee and S Club 7 hit Reach for the Stars.

"We don’t produce one every year as they are very time-consuming – particularly the editing due to all of the hilarity whilst videoing.

"The staff do it because they know the how much the students and past students enjoy watching them."

Sixty members of staff took part in this year's video.

"Special thanks must be given to Duncan Potts, head of year 11, and Tom Harrison, IT technician, for the time taken to produce and edit it.

"Mr Harrison says he never wants to hear that song ever again," said the spokesman.
