Broughton Moor residents are being asked to help locate a trophy that has been missing for 14 years and then find a new use for it.
County councillor Carni McCarron-Holmes presented a cup to the village in memory of her husband, Councillor Derek Holmes.
The trophy was awarded at the annual summer fun day on the Welfare Field.
It was last presented at the final summer fun day 14 years ago and has not been seen since.
Broughton Moor parish clerk Judith Morgan said the parish council was eager to find the cup and put it back into use.
She said: "We are encouraging Broughton Moor residents to find the cup and to put forward their ideas for a suitable competition for which it could be awarded."
