A woman was airlifted to hospital following a three-hour mountain rescue.
It took 22 members of Cockermouth Mountain Rescue team to bring the woman to safety before she was taken to Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary by air ambulance.
The 64-year-old, who slipped on wet ground and sustained an ankle injury, was walking with friends in the area of Black Crag, near Loweswater on Sunday.
The woman, from Carlisle, was treated at the scene by one of the mountain rescue team’s doctors and then stretchered a short distance the North West Air Ambulance, Helimed 75, which was able to land nearby.
