Staff from a Workington pub are to stand trial today over allegations that alcohol was served to an underage boy.

Nadia Foster, 44, of Westfield Terrace, Main Road, Flimby, who is the designated premises supervisor at Vinnie's Bar, Finkle Street, is due to appeared before West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington.

At an earlier hearing she pleaded not guilty to six charges, including knowingly allowing a person under 18 into the premises and knowingly allowing that person to be served alcohol.

Teresa Humes, 53, of Moorclose Road, Salterbeck, will also stand trial after pleading not guilty to one charge of selling alcohol to a person under 18.

Mrs Foster also faces charges of allowing licensable activities to be carried out at Vinnie's bar without appropriate door staff on duty, allowing disorderly conduct to take place and allowing the premises to be open with no first aid trained personnel on site.

All of the charges relate to December 29 of last year.
