They can be used instead of a notepad, reducing the need to return to police stations and input details into the force’s existing computer system. The number of devices Cumbria police will be able to buy has yet to be finalised.LAKE District planners will not take enforcement action over the erection of a fence at Strathmore in Braithwaite near Keswick, as long as it is painted green within a reasonable time. The authority said enforcement would not be in the public interest.
