CARLISLE information security company Commerce Media has appointed Nicholas Robertson as director of sales.
Mr Robertson’s main task will be to support the recent launch of Celo – the firm’s new innovative web security software solution.
Celo provides authentication of users when logging onto websites, protecting their identities in the face of internet fraud attacks such as ‘phishing’.
It was featured on BBC’s The One Show in July.
Mr Robertson will also oversee the recruitment and training of sales team staff.
He said: “With cyber-fraud sadly on the increase there is huge potential for an easy to use, cost-effective authentication solution like Celo.
“It’s certainly an exciting time to be joining the company and I’m looking forward to building on some early successes and the current high level of interest amongst public and private sector organisations.”
Michael Robertson, managing director said: “Nick is a great addition to our senior management team with more than 15 years proven sales experience and a sound knowledge of the IT security industry.”
