Maryport's Hillside estate now has its own bakery.
The Bakehouse has opened a branch on the estate, prompted by recent cuts in bus services.
It is owned by Nicola and Chris Blamire, who took over Kemp's Bakery in Senhouse Street six years ago and renamed it The Bakehouse.
They also opened a branch in Grasslot.
Nicola said: "A lot of our elderly customers were concerned that cuts in services last year meant they were not able to come into town in the afternoon.
"We thought it would be an idea to establish a bakery on Hillside, the most difficult estate for people to walk to and from."
