A new charity shop is set to open in the centre of Workington in time for Christmas.
Cancer Research UK will fill the empty unit between Savers and the Salvation Army shop on Murray Road.
It is scheduled to open on Wednesday, December 9 and work has begun to get it ready.
The shop will be taking on a manager and staff although it is unknown yet how many will be recruited.
The charity is also looking to bring in volunteers and people can sign up through the National Retail Centre.
Julie Byard, head of retail operation at Cancer Research UK, said: "The shop has great potential with a big shop floor and we are very excited about being in Workington."
