A Cockermouth shop and hotel have teamed up and are enjoying life together.
Lily and Co, an interiors and gift shop, is owned by Dawn Balmer. It opened in Market Place in 2009, five years later Dawn opened a second shop a few doors away. Indigo Lounge stocks ladies’ and gents’ clothing and accessories.
The two shops merged earlier this year, in Indigo Lounge.
Lily and Co has now reopened in the nearby Allerdale Court Hotel, which is owned by Kay Carlin.
A hotel lounge adjoining the shop has been transformed into a coffee shop and is proving popular.
"They bounce off each other," said Dawn. "It's great to have Lily and Co up and running again, I've loved doing it up."
Kay said: "It's something different and is working well."
