Ten years of a farming activity will be celebrated near Cockermouth.

An open day will be held on July 5 where visitors can see dairy herds and crops as well as getting the chance to talk to suppliers of services and equipment.

Neil and Sally Marston will host the event at Millstone Moor Farm, Redmain, about using technology to improve efficiency and target inputs on beef and sheep farms.

There will be demonstrations of sheep handling and data handling systems, grassland and grazing management with information stands on a wide range of animal health and production topics.

Adam Day, managing director of The Farmer Network, said: "Farmers have had a difficult 18 months and we are very grateful to the farmer hosts and the stall holders for funding these events to enable dairy, beef and sheep farmers to have a cracking day out at both events."

The event takes place on Tuesday, July 5, between 4pm and 8pm.

Entry is free for farmers with any money raised donated to the Great North Air Ambulance and Breast Cancer UK charities.
