Stagecoach is offering free bus travel to Armed Forces personnel carrying ID on Armed Forces Day.
The scheme, on Saturday, will support celebrations taking place across Cumbria, including in Workington.
To take up the offer, armed forces personnel should present a military ID card and veterans should show a veteran's badge.
The company hopes servicemen and women will use the offer to travel to Armed Forces Day events of their choice.
Managing director Matthew Cranwell said: "We are delighted to be showing support for the armed forces communities across Cumbria and North Lancashire in this way.
"By providing free travel to military personnel we hope to be able to give a well-deserved morale boost for our local troops."
