The Government is going to look at Cockermouth's James Walker factory to see whether it can offer its support.
The specialist sealant maker, which employs 500 staff, was flooded in December although it was back in production within 72 hours.
It was also hit by the 2009 floods.
The assurance came from Business Minister Anna Soubry during a meeting with Workington MP Sue Hayman over the future of Tata Steel in her constituency.
Mrs Hayman said: "I also had a chat with her about James Wallker, which was flooded again in Cockermouth, and she's going to look to see whether there's any potential for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to support them as well.
"Someone from the department team is going to go to James Walker to try to understand their problems better to see if we can get any Government support for them."
