A national markets campaign will be launched in Keswick on Thursday.
The nationwide campaign promotes markets and their importance in communities.
Keswick has been chosen by the National Association of British Market Authorities from more than 1,400 to launch the campaign.
The launch of the Love Your Local Market campaign will provide sellars with the opportunity to showcase their goods at a family event featuring live jazz and food demonstrations.
There will be speeches at 10am, followed by the entertainment.
Keswick Market, run by Geraud Markets (UK) Ltd in collaboration with Allerdale Council, was voted 2015 Best Outdoor Market in the UK
It runs on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Philip Lamb, managing director of Geraud UK, said: "Love Your Local Market is an event put in place to encourage the people of great market towns such as Keswick to shop locally and celebrate the talent of the artisan makers at the market.
"Keswick has such a wide array of local market traders. Each bringing a personal touch to their produce. The Love Your Local Market event is set to be a great day for the whole family and truly showcase Keswick’s local produce."
