Keswick Tourism Association has appointed a new tourism manager.
Vanessa Metcalfe will take over the position from Linda Furniss, who is leaving the organisation on Wednesday, June 29.
Mrs Furniss joined Keswick Tourism Association in 2009 and has spent the last seven years helping to promote the town.
Mrs Metcalfe was previously the branch manager of Keswick's Co-operative bank and is a member of the town's theatre Club and street theatre group.
She is also a member of Keswick Athletics Club and took part in the 5in5 hiking challenge last year.
Mrs Metcalfe said: "I'm looking forward to promoting Keswick and all it has to offer for the benefit of businesses, tourists and residents alike and really giving something back to my home town."
Judy Sharpe, association chairman, said: "Her local knowledge means that she knows what makes the area tick already."
