A new takeaway will open in Seaton on Monday.
Jack Bhardwaj, 32, who lives in the village, will open Jaijo's on Main Road, opposite the garage.
The name of the takeaway is made up of a combination of his children's names - Jaiden, five, and Joshua, three.
He will be working there with his wife Julie and three other members of staff.
Jack, who has previously worked as a waiter at Caspian in Workington and in the kitchen of a restaurant in India, said: "I'm well excited. It's quite a long process from when I applied for planning permission in February, then we had to do some work and now we're finally opening."
Jack left his job at the Derwent Pencil factory in Lillyhall to work at Jaijo's full time, cooking pizzas, kebabs, curries and burgers.
Jack said: "I think this is the ideal place if you have a big family and someone fancies a pizza and someone else a curry for example. It's something new and we hope we'll make everybody happy."
