A Cockermouth woman has opened a vintage interiors shop in town.
Susan Seekings is running Dachshund on Market Place.
It offers a range of vintage style homeware and upholstery.
Susan also has a workshop on the first floor where she does upholstery and painting.
In June, she will be moving into the larger space next door, occupied by Riff Raff, when the clothing shop returns to Main Street.
Susan and her husband Andrew moved to Cockermouth two years ago from the North East, where Susan worked as a hairdresser for 30 years.
The couple have a daughter, Emilia, 10.
Susan, of Honister Drive, said: "I have always been interested in vintage interiors and used to sell a few things in my salon but I never had enough time as I was running the salon.
"Since moving here I have been learning upholstery and going to vintage fairs.
"People were always asking me when I would open a shop.
"I have had a great opening weekend, people have been very supportive."
She is hoping to run basic upholstery workshops in the future and is delighted to be in Market Place.
She added: "I like it here, it's quite quirky, I think it suits this type of shop. The more type of shops the town has like this will mean Cockermouth gets a name for that."
