The nomination follows the company’s win at the Cumbria Family Business Awards in March.
Director Sally Fielding set the firm up in 2003 with just one cottage and £1,000 in the bank.
The business now lets more than 400 properties and brings in bookings to the value of almost £6m last year.
Mrs Fielding runs the company with her husband Rob.
She said: “I am thrilled with the nomination.
“Other than my husband, Rob, my parents and other family members are involved with the company.
“We really believe in the integrity and community spirit of a family business, and it’s incredible to see this recognised both on a local and a national level.”
The Family Business of the Year Awards are organised by Family Business United, a magazine and resource centre, and are in their fifth year.
Winners will be announced in London on June 8.
