Solway Holiday Village at Silloth has been named as the top-performing site in the North West, based on booking revenue last year.
The figures were compiled by the outdoor accommodation specialist pitchup.com, which compared bookings for 1,605 camping and caravan sites throughout Europe.
Solway Holiday Village attracted 415 bookings through the site with total revenue of £31,169, 21 per cent ahead of its nearest competitor in the region.
Early bookings suggest that it is set to maintain momentum this year.
Solway Holiday Village is an 130-acre holiday park, which offers electric and non-electric pitches for tourers, tents and motorhomes, with heated showers, covered dishwashing areas, water points and a launderette.
Other facilities include kids’ clubs, an animal farm, outdoor and indoor play centres, sports facilities, and an indoor heated swimming pool with spa.
