Twenty jobs have been created in Cockermouth with the opening of a drive-through Starbucks.
The outlet, which starts trading tomorrow is operated by the the US giant's franchise partner, Euro Garages, at the revamped Oakhurst filling station in Lamplugh Road.
It is the first drive-through Starbucks in the county and has indoor and outdoor seating as well as power points for mobile devices.
Oakhurst Service Station reopened at the end of April following a £1.5m redevelopment. The site also has a Subway, a Greggs and a Spar shop.
Mo Tayab, brand manager at Euro Garages, said: “We now operate 63 Starbucks stores across the country and we are thrilled to be opening the first drive-through Starbucks in Cockermouth.
"We look forward to being a part of this community and getting to know our local customers.”
Karen Fenwick, director of franchising and licensing, Starbucks UK added: “Cockermouth is a fantastic location. We’re delighted to continue to build on our partnership with Euro Garages, who share our commitment to customers and the community.”
