A vintage fair in Workington was such a success that organisers are already planning the next one.

The first Blue Bell Vintage Fair was held at the town's Helena Thompson Museum on Sunday.

The home and garden fair brought textiles, soft furnishing, vintage fabrics, French finds, French lavender hearts, cabinets, chairs and small bedroom furniture to the Park End Road venue.

Heather Banks, one of the organisers, said: "It was brilliant, we really enjoyed it.

"We were amazed at how many people came. A lot of people stayed to look around the museum as well, which was good."

The feedback received encouraged them to set the date for the next event, which will take place on December 6 at the museum.

Heather, who owns Tiffen Interiors, said: "The feedback was so positive we decided to do it again around Christmas and possibly expanding it.

"We're hoping it can be something that we can do seasonally, maybe four times a year."

Heather organised the fair with friends Janet Harker, who owns Harkers Vintage Furniture, and Jayne Ackerley, owner of Tobias Interiors and involved businesses from around the county.
