Workington Leisure Centre nominated for awards
Workington’s new leisure centre and swimming pool has been shortlisted for two awards.
The building has been nominated for the Best Public Service Building and Best Large Commercial Project categories in the northern region of the Local Authority Building Control Building Excellence Awards.
Workington Leisure Centre is managed on behalf of Allerdale council by GLL.
The awards ceremony will be held in Gateshead on April 7.
All winning projects from the regional awards will automatically qualify for the final in London on November 10.
