Lakeland equestrian centre HAS NOT shut its doors and we are still open as a livery yard holding indoor jumping and shows, secondly strangles IS NOT the equine equivalent of foot and mouth and thirdly we have recovered from last years strangles and all horses and our yard have a full bill of health!

I would just like to clarify that the Lakeland Equestrian Centre has recovered from strangles and is back up and running. Livery, arena hire are available and equestrian events are held at the centre. All the horses currently at the centre are all clear of strangles and have their ANIMAL HEALTH CERTIFICATES. The Centre is holding an open charity fun show on the 26th May. All proceeds go to the Animal Health Trust who helped the centre through strangles. Thier work includes developing diganostic tests and vaccines against diseases in animals. We hope you will support the cause. Thank you.
