A Workington farmhouse that was once home to a coal mine is for sale for £1 million.
The current owner of the 218-acre Parkhouse Farm, near High Harrington, bought it to extract coal, with 100 acres used as an open cast mine.
The site was restored to a working farm in 1999 and it was let out, as the owner did not live in the area.
The stone-built farmhouse has five bedrooms and 42,000sq ft of buildings.
Planning permission has been granted to create a farm shop and cafe, fishing lake, animal viewing area and orchard.
It is on the market with H&H Land and Property.
