Three people have been arrested at a Cumbrian music festival.

Police said cash, vouchers and a mobile phone were stolen from a tent at Solfest between 2am and 11.30am yesterday.

Following enquiries, police have today arrested a 36-year old man and 28-year-old woman from Maryport and a 25-year-old man from Whitehaven on suspicion of theft. All three have been detained for questioning.

Police are urging festival-goers to ensure that they keep valuables on them and don't leave them in an unattended tent.

Those currently at the festival, at Tarns, near Silloth, are urged to check for any missing property and be vigilant.

Anyone who would like to report a crime can call police on 101 or speak to site security.
