Cumbria Constabulary has announced it will be recruiting up to 108 police officers, 20 police community support officers and 36 special constables in its latest recruitment drive.
Cumbria police currently has 1,120 police officers and 95 PCSOs in the force.
It says the recruitment drive is essential to maintain officer numbers and policing services.
The application process is now open and closes on February 19.
Chief Superintendent Sean Robinson said: "The recruitment drive is really good news and allows the Constabulary to maintain our services.
"Police officers, PCSOs and special constables play a vital role in keeping our communities safe.
"All of the roles are a fantastic opportunity for people to join a rewarding career, where they can make a huge difference in our county."
Richard Rhodes, crime commissioner, said: "I would urge anyone who seeks to join an organisation that offers great challenges and rewards and wants to make a real difference in their community to consider this opportunity to become a police officer, police community support officer or special constable in Cumbria.”
