Damage caused in Maryport burglary bid
Substantial damage was caused in an attempted burglary in Maryport.
Would-be burglars tried to break into the recycling centre at Glasson Industrial Estate, Maryport, between 6.15pm on Sunday and 7.30am on Monday.
Police said they caused substantial damage to the property while trying to gain access.
The force is appealing for any witnesses who saw or heard anything in the area at that time to call PC 2520 Twentyman on 101, email 101@cumbria.police.uk or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
