Keswick flood defences and flood victims have been targeted by vandals.
A police report to town councillors said a toughened glass pane on the High Hill flood barrier was fractured in recent weeks, while the front door glass of an unoccupied, flooded house on the street was smashed in a separate incident.
Councillor Susan Leighton said: "To have mindless vandalism to homes and properties is bad enough.
"To have willful damage to flood defences and flood victims' property add insult to those who have been flooded."
