A 24-year-old Workington man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a Harrington shop.
The burglary took place at McColl's newsagent on Church Road won Saturday morning.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said: "A man, wearing a balaclava, entered the store in opening hours and took petty cash from a private room upstairs.
"The shutters of the shop closed, stopping the offender from leaving.
"He managed to get out and make off in an unknown direction. He left behind the petty cash as he made off."
The man has been bailed until February 22.
