A man has been arrested after a life support bag was stolen from an ambulance in Workington.
The 35-year-old, of no fixed address, is accused of stealing the bag while paramedics were giving CPR to a patient at a house on Scawfell Avenue.
The bag, which was later recovered in Vulcan Park, contained a potentially fatal drug, which has not yet been recovered.
A Cumbria police spokesman said: "Some aspirin and GTN tablets had been taken from the bag.
"GTN tablets can be fatal if taken incorrectly and we would appeal to anyone who finds the medication to hand it to police or a pharmacy."
The bag also contained equipment including oxygen, oxygen masks and equipment for opening patients' airways.
The man has been bailed until September 4.
