A man has had his bail extended after an altercation at a West Cumbrian flat.

The 43-year-old Workington man was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident at a flat on Derwent Street in the town last month.

His bail has been extended until April 17.

Another 36-year-old man, also of Workington, had been arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm but has now been released and no further action will be taken against him.

He had suffered minor hand injury in the incident.
