Man injured in unprovoked attack on Cumbrian road
A man suffered facial injuries after he was punched in an unprovoked attack while walking along a Cumbrian road.
The 27-year-old was walking on the A591 at Bassenthwaite on Saturday when a white BMW pulled up and a man from the car got out and punched him.
The incident happened near the Scarness junction at around 10.30pm.
The attacker is described as between 25 and 30, wearing jeans and a light-coloured top.
Anyone who saw the incident or the car, or who has any other information, is asked to call Cumbria police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
