Two men will stand trial in the new year after denying robbery.

David James Greggain, 37, and Jack Declan Nicholson, 23, appeared in front of Judge Barbara Forrester at Carlisle Crown Court today.

They both pleaded not guilty to robbing Terrance Kinrade of cash in Workington on August 19.

Greggain also denied assaulting both Mr Kinrade and a female by beating, on August 15 and the alleged intimidation of Mr Kinrade three days later.

Greggain, of John Street, and Nicholson, of Guard Street, both Workington, will go on trial in January. They were remanded in custody.
