Sniffer dogs were brought into to search a property behind Main Street, Cockermouth after a man was arrested on suspicion of drug possession.
A police spokesman said officers and dogs searched a property yesterday under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act following the arrest.
Owen Glen Clarke, 22, of Mawsons Court, Cockermouth, has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in public, possessing class A drug MDMA, criminal damage and threatening behaviour.
He is due to appear at West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court today.
