A lorry driver has been left in a pickle after thieves stole food - including naan bread and poppadoms - from a shipping container.
The side dishes were stolen from the back of a lorry while it was parked on a layby on the A66 - just east of junction 40 with the M6.
They food was taken some time between 4.40pm yesterday 6.10am today.
Cumbria police confirmed that officers are investigating via the Eden police account.
Thieves have stolen Poppadums & Naans from HGV A66. Must have been in a curry to get away. Help us put them in a pickle & report info to 101

A spokesman added: "Police are urging for any motorists or walkers that have been passing the area to contact police if they saw anything suspicious.
"Police believe that a vehicle would have been used to take the stolen items away."
