Two people accused of destroying a red squirrel drey have had the case against them dropped.
Andrew Michael James Graham, 32, of St John's Street, Keswick, a tree surgeon with Arbor-Tec and William Brymer, 55, of Sunderland, a project manager with Northern Developments Limited, were accused of intentionally or recklessly damaging or destroying the structure at Dovenby Hall, the home of rally firm M-Sport.
The allegation arose from tree clearance work being done in March 2015 by Arbor-Tec, through project management Northern Developments, to make way for a test track.
M-Sport, Northern Developments Limited, of Burgh Road Industrial Estate, Carlisle, and Arbor-Tec, of St John's Street, Keswick, had been accused of the same charge but had the case against them dropped earlier this month.
The charges had been brought under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
