Residents are being warned to up their security following a spate of burglaries at homes in Workington.
There were three incidents over the weekend in the Moorclose and Westfield areas of the town.
In one, a man was disturbed in the bedroom of a house.
This happened at Rowe Terrace at 9.55am on Saturday.
The burglar was wearing a dark-grey hooded top.
The other incidents occurred in Grasmere Avenue on Saturday.
There were two unsuccessful attempts to break in to homes.
In both cases the burglar attempted to force doors to gain entry.
Police are urging residents to ensure all doors and windows are locked.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
