A teenager was knocked off his bike by a car and then attacked by six men.
It happened in Bradbury Avenue, Maryport, at 11am on Monday.
Police said the teenage male was knocked from his bike by a silver-coloured Vauxhall Corsa.
He was then assaulted by six men, ranging in age from about 20 to 45.
Some of the attackers were travelling in the Corsa while others were in a blue Rover.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or with information that could help should call Maryport police on 101.
