West Cumbrian attempted burglary investigated
Police are investigating an attempted burglary in Workington.
The incident occurred at Mossbay Working Men's Club on Salisbury Street at 4.15am on Wednesday.
Offenders climbed over a gate into the back yard of the premises then attempted to force the back door with a bladed object, which activated the alarm so they made off.
