A man will be sentenced by a judge later this month after admitting drugs supply crimes.

Thomas Francis Stephen Lovett, 34, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to the possession of cannabis and heroin, both with intent to supply.

His offences were committed on October 3 and March 22, respectively.

The illegal drugs seized are said to have had an estimated value of almost £5,000.

In addition, Lovett admitted one count of cannabis possession, on March 22.

Judge Peter Davies asked for more information about the defendant before the sentenced was passed.

The case was adjourned until April 29, when Lovett, of Yeowartville, Workington, is due to learn his fate.

He was remanded in custody.
