Two thieves have been jailed for stealing from shops in Workington.
Sian Baker Douglas, 29, and Rebecca Williams, 25, both of Senhouse Street, Siddick, targeted a number of stores to fund their drug habit.
The pair appeared before magistrates in the town yesterday.
Douglas was sentenced to 120 days in prison.
Williams was out on a suspended licence, was given a 90-day sentence. The remaining nine months on her original sentence were also activated.
Temporary Sergeant Sean Prince said: "Cumbria Constabulary will continue to pro-actively work alongside stores to target and identify shoplifters through use of CCTV and the use of visible patrols to deter offenders who think they can steel from stores.
"Police also thank the shops for the vigilance and the reporting of the thefts."
