POLICE are today studying mobile phone footage of a mass brawl involving 200 people in Workington.
Thirty-seven police officers had to use CS gas-style spray and batons to control crowds outside the Fusion nightclub in the early hours of Saturday.
A video taken on a mobile phone during the incident has been posted on website You Tube.
You can see the video here and here but be warned the clips contain strong language.
Police are now studying it as they continue their investigation. It shows two ranks of young men, separated by police, hurling missiles and shouting insults at each other.
Three 18-year-olds and a 20-year-old from Carlisle were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A 19-year-old, also from the city, was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
Two others were arrested but no details about them have been released.
Fusion closed at about 1.15am after fighting broke out inside.
Disorder then spilled out onto the street when staff shut the cluband a large crowd congregated outside.
A coach-load of Carlisle clubbers was sent home from Workington early.
Police said their coach was met on the outskirts of Carlisle and escorted back into the city to ensure passengers’ safety.
