Cockermouth School pupils arrived at the Hunday Manor Hotel in style on Wednesday night.
Despite showers interspersed with brief glimpses of sunshine, the year 11 students still had a smile on their faces at their prom, which they had arranged themselves at the Winscales hotel.
It was a chance for the youngsters to say goodbye to classmates and celebrate the end of their GCSEs.
