New hospital community beds

TWENTY new community beds for Whitehaven’s West Cumberland Hospital should be ready by the end of the year.EAGLESFIELD Paddle School helped raise £500 for Save the Children.
It follows the recent Closer To Home consultation about a new West Cumbrian hospital and its services. The aim is to provide a more seamless service for patients between acute care, community care and their own home. This unit will eventually be fully run by local GPs.
Cockermouth’s Save the Children charity shop on Lowther Went, worked with the school to put on a fashion show at the school. The clothes were then auctioned.
