Three concerts held at the weekend to raise awareness of the Save Our Services campaign provided a boost to the Times & Star's petition.
Feel The Bonfire Blues gigs were held at the Fletcher Christian in Cockermouth on Friday, the Thomas Henry in Maryport on Saturday and the County Hotel in Carlisle on Sunday.
Around 280 people attended across the weekend, adding 85 new signatures to the SOS petition.
The gigs featured musicians including Ash Wilson, who performed at an earlier concert in Maryport to support the town's Save Our Beds campaign.
Organiser Graeme McGrory, 62, of Dearham, said: "The concerts went brilliants. It was definitely worth doing."
